About the role

Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations™ Cloud, which is a platform that enables organizations that depend on physical operations to harness Internet of Things (IoT) data to develop actionable insights and improve their operations. At Samsara, we are helping improve the safety, efficiency and sustainability of the physical operations that power our global economy. Representing more than 40% of global GDP, these industries are the infrastructure of our planet, including agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing - and we are excited to help digitally transform their operations at scale. Working at Samsara means you'll help define the future of physical operations and be on a team that's shaping an exciting array of product solutions, including Video-Based Safety, Vehicle Telematics, Apps and Driver Workflows, and Equipment Monitoring. As part of a recently public company, you'll have the autonomy and support to make an impact as we build for the long term. The Connected Workflows team builds Samsara's digital Connected Workflows platform, helping customers replace paper-based operational workflows with configurable, mobile-first Connected Workflows. Connected Workflows power critical work across safety, compliance, maintenance, operations, and field workflows, enabling drivers and frontline teams to collect structured data, trigger automations, and give back-office teams real-time visibility. This team works across the full stack, including the Samsara dashboard, mobile experiences, backend services, workflow automation, permissions, reporting, and integrations with broader Samsara platform systems. We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help shape and scale the Connected Workflows product. You will lead high-impact projects across product surfaces, backend systems, and platform integrations, while partnering closely with Product, Design, and cross-functional engineering teams. As a senior engineer, you'll be expected to drive technical direction, break down ambiguous product problems, mentor other engineers, and deliver reliable systems that support mission-critical customer workflows. Connected Workflows is a key part of how Samsara customers digitize and automate their operations. The work on this team directly affects frontline teams completing critical workflows every day, and back-office teams relying on accurate, timely data to make decisions. We set up our employees for success and have built a culture that encourages rapid career development, countless opportunities to experiment and master your craft in a hyper growth environment.
