Responsibilities
- Providing daily visibility on empty container positions.
- Tracking empty containers from offload to return at designated depots.
- Managing reporting dashboards (empty ageing, return status, export readiness)
- Identifying available trucks for export loading & updating allocation boards
- Communicating daily status updates to CX, Planning, and Operations teams.
- Liaising with Landside vendors on movement plans, priorities, and exceptions
- Manage daily dispatch and logistics execution by ensuring smooth operation / service delivery of client needs by keeping a close track on the service providers and ensuring On Time In Full Delivery (OTIF).
- Ensure local supply chain procedures are in line with global SOP
- Review weekly and monthly client schedules and demand forecasts to estimate peak and delivery timings
- Manage the performance of the distribution and transport service providers to achieve best in class levels of on time in full delivery while ensuring quality standards are met.
- Regular and timely system updates.
- Exception Management with decisive corrective progress actions while proactively managing any changes and contingencies.
- Coordinate and collaborate with customer facing agents to quickly respond to planning amendment, equipment breakdowns or other arising issues
- Proactively coordinate with vendor management team to ensure we have loading capacity to support loading plans.
- WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Someone with:
- 2-3 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations.
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience coordinating transport execution, container movements, or landside logistics activities.
- Good knowledge of logistics processes, transport operations, and supply chain management.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational systems.
