About the role

You will serve as a SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SPECIALIST in the SAFETY DIVISION, OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT ofCOMMANDER, NAVAL REGION JAPAN . ***ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED. Please see Additional Information section below.*** Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing safety and occupational program requirements, evaluating safety and occupational health programs for employees engaged in diverse operations that include high hazard, high-risk industrial, construction and maritime occupations having significant potential for injury and death and which expose employees to hazardous physical agents, chemicals, and processes. Selective Placement Factor: Do you possess at a minimum, the certification as a AAA Driver Improvement Instructor AND certification as a rider coach by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) to teach Basic and Experienced Rider, and the Military Sport Bike Course? If yes, please upload copies of your latest valid certificates indicating current certification level, dates of certification and expiration.
