About the role

The Office of Financial Management (AFM) provides financial oversight and information on the use of agency financial resources. AFM is responsible for financial and travel policy, financial and acquisition systems, cost accounting, capitalization of the agency's $12.3 billion portfolio of national airspace system assets, financial reporting, financial internal controls, and oversight of the agency's financial internal controls programs and reimbursable agreements. IN ADDITION TO MEETING THE BASIC EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS BELOW: To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-, FG/GS- level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.14J SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE STATEMENT: Experience preparing or auditing federal agency financial statements and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards: Managing financial statement reporting related data analysis; and performing or auditing general ledger reconciliations and data integrity controls.
