Undergraduate students who are pursuing a career in technology or those interested in a pathway to a career in technology, will find this position to be beneficial and encouraged to apply. The UNH-IOL has been testing Networking and Communications products since 1988. Fully owned by the University of New Hampshire, the lab receives 100% of its funding from commercial companies in exchange for professional and testing services. The availability of the position is contingent upon funding. Testing services cover technologies such as Ethernet, xDSL, Storage, Wireless, Open Source, and Internet Protocol (including IPv6). Duties/Responsibilities Under general direction, test technicians are responsible for: Working with industry professionals across multiple areas of technology Providing in-person support to remote personnel including device setup and configuration Performing conformance and interoperability testing on commercially available and prototype products Troubleshooting, debugging, and general support during test cycles Reviewing, updating, and working with IOL Test Suites Writing detailed conformance and interoperability reports Working hours available are typically Mon-Fri from 8AM-6PM
