Responsibilities
- Employment Law Counseling and Compliance
- Provide legal guidance to HR on a wide range of employment topics, including hiring, pay practices, performance management, leaves of absence, accommodation requests, and separations

- Help develop templates, playbooks and process improvements to enhance LCCDR department efficiency
- Contribute to ad hoc project work including M&A and global office expansion initiatives
- Litigation and Dispute Management
- Assist in responding to internal complaints, threatened claims, investigations, subpoenas, and agency charges and inquiries
- Support the management of employment and commercial litigation and pre-litigation disputes, including fact development, document preservation and production, and coordination with witnesses and outside counsel
- Help prepare internal reports, litigation summaries, and risk assessments for senior legal and business stakeholders
- Participate in strategy discussions with outside counsel and internal teams to ensure efficient, business-aligned dispute resolution and risk mitigation
- What we need from you:
- Law degree from accredited U.S. law school and current Pennsylvania bar admission
- Three to five years of relevant experience in employment law and litigation from a law firm and/or corporate legal department
- Strong understanding of federal and state labor and employment laws and best practices; familiarity with global employment frameworks is a plus
- Experience advising on a range of employment matters, including discrimination, harassment and retaliation concerns, performance issues, leaves of absence and accommodations, pay practices, and employment policies
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and work independently with appropriate supervision
- Strong communication, relationship and organizational skills
- Comfort with a dynamic, often-changing and fast-paced environment
- Excellent research, analytical and technical skills, including the use of AI tools

SEI is seeking an Employment and Litigation Attorney to join the Legal, Compliance, Corporate Development, and Risk (LCCDR) department and support the company's U.S. and international operations. This position is ideal for an early-career attorney looking to gain experience across employment counseling, compliance, and litigation matters in an innovative, collaborative environment. The position reports to the lead attorney on the Legal Risk Management team, responsible for the global employment law function, litigation matters and corporate insurance services. The Attorney will work closely with members of the LCCDR department, the People & Culture (HR) department, and numerous business unit teams. They will help to ensure that SEI and its subsidiaries adhere to relevant employment laws and compliance obligations and support litigation matters when they arise. The role will focus on U.S. responsibilities while also assisting with matters across our global footprint.
