Medical Assistant (MA) I or LPN - Float Pool

Responsibilities

• As a key member of the ambulatory care team, you will:
• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
• About This Location:
• Our float pool supports a variety of specialties such as Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Women's Health, and Integrative Medicine. This position will float to the following clinics:
• Wiselives- 8320 W Bluemound Rd
• St. Luke's Faculty Physicians- 2801 W Kinnickinnic River Pkwy Suite 770
• St. Luke's Family Practice- 2801 W Kinnickinnic River Pkwy Suite 250
• Edgerton Geriatrics- 6901 W Edgerton Ave

• Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday.
• Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
• Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
• Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch with ability to use fine hand manipulation skills for IV insertion and other procedures/functions.
• Maneuver foot pedals on carts or machines.
• Perform physical safety interventions such as patient restraint and verbal de-escalation, if needed.

Schedule availability should be available from 7:00am - 6:30pm , can start and end anytime within those hours, however, most time is 8:00am - 4:30pm or 8:30am - 5:00pm. Float Pool Differential - $2.00 for MA or $3.00 LPN. Must have reliable transportation.
