Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

Prepare and review electrical design calculations (load flow, short circuit, voltage drop, cable sizing, earthing, lighting, etc.) Develop single line diagrams (SLD), schematics, and wiring diagrams Design and specify: LV/MV power distribution systems / Transformers, switchgear, MCCs, UPS systems / Lighting and small power systems Perform equipment sizing and selection based on project requirements Prepare material requisitions (MR), technical bid evaluations (TBE), and vendor document reviews Coordinate with multidiscipline teams (mechanical, instrumentation, civil, process) Support HAZOP, SIL, and design review meetings Assist in construction, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities when required Review and approve shop drawings and as-built drawings Provide technical support during project execution and client interactions Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. 8+ years in electrical design within Oil & Gas EPC projects. Experience in ADNOC Projects will be an added advantage. Strong willingness to learn and adapt to a dynamic project environment. Attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety. Effective communication skills and a team-oriented approach. Ability to follow instructions, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively. Flexibility to work in shifts and extended hours as project demands require.
