Functional Consultant/BA (Wealth Management/Trading )

Responsibilities

• Handle banking operations processes such as payments/cash, securities, and settlement activities.
• Understand banking operations from a business perspective, including payment execution in the market, industry settlement rules, clearing systems, and custody systems.
• Understand banking operations from a systems perspective, including transaction booking and processing in a core banking system, management of different legs of complex products, and fee schedule setup.
• Maintain an end-to-end understanding of operational processes, including different steps, dependencies, and stakeholders involved.
• Understand and support Incident Management, Release Management, and L1/L2/L3 Production Management processes.
• Manage and monitor Control-M and Tivoli/Geneos monitoring tools.
• Analyze, influence, negotiate, and resolve complex issues within SLA timelines to achieve project goals.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills while interacting with clients, business users, vendors, management, and project teams at all levels.
• Effectively prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a high-stress, high-pressure environment while maintaining resilience.
• Requirements [ Functional Consultant/BA profile with Wealth Management/Trading experience (Avaloq skill not mandatory)]
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7-9 years of experience in the Banking sector with an Application Production Support background within the Wealth Management industry.
• Knowledge of Avaloq Core Banking System/Wealth Management to diagnose and resolve production issues.
• In-depth knowledge of trading products such as FX, Equities, and Structured Products, including support for related transactions and lifecycle events within Avaloq and other trading platforms.
• Client lifecycle experience is an added advantage.
• Knowledge or exposure to Avaloq and Digital Platforms is highly preferred.
• ITIL V8 Foundation certification is required.
• Knowledge of VB Scripting, Excel Macros, and Digital UI is a plus.
• Knowledge of Java and .NET scripting.
• Experience with job automation tools such as Control-M and incident ticketing tools such as ServiceNow.
• Experience with Unix file systems, commands, shell scripting development, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Windows systems, batch scripting development, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Oracle PL/SQL query development and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of IT risk policies to safeguard production environments and data.
• Proven track record of client-facing and/or front-office-facing operational support.
• Understanding of infrastructure components and different technology layers to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills with the ability to interface effectively with all levels of management.
