We are currently recruiting a Behavioral Programming Specialist for the Forensic Services Unit (FSU) at Central Regional Hospital (CRH). Job responsibilities include the following: 1. Direct and indirect behavioral assessment and intervention services as ancillary staff, working under the clinical supervision of licensed psychologist or licensed psychological associate 2. Teaching and staff training 3. Being responsible for assigned tasks across organization units of the hospital 4. Serving as role model for staff and patients, demonstrating the provision of positive behavioral supports on an ongoing basis 5. Implementing behavioral treatment plans (both individual plans and group contingency plans) that have been developed by psychologists 6. Communicating effectively about and teaching the elements of behavior intervention plans to staff, as needed 7. Collecting and summarizing behavioral data in accordance with behavioral intervention plans and departmental and institutional policies/procedures 8. Interacting effectively with patients and staff, including direct care staff, psychologist, social workers, nurses, and physicians. Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences NC04 Salary Range: $32,287.00 - $56,502.00 Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred: Considerable knowledge of behavioral principles, mental illness, severe behavior problems, human development across the lifespan, and cultural/ethnic diversity Working knowledge of federal, state. and local provisions, regulations and standards regarding behavior programming services Skill in observing and recording behavior, its antecedents and consequences and related environmental factors in populations served Ability to implement and train staff in the conduct of behavior treatment program Ability to maintain a professional, effective, and respectful working relationship with patients, hospital (clinical, administrative, support) staff and the general public at all times Conditional Requirements: ADA Physical Requirements will be discussed in detail during the interview process but, at a minimum, include: Visual attention, mental concentration, and manipulative skills are necessary for assessment, treatment, and documentations and are needed most of the time. This is a full-time position and eligible for the full State benefits package. Normal work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; however, flexibility is required to meet hospital needs.
