Traineeship - Maritime Finance

We work with you to customise our modular 12 to 14 month traineeship in line with your interests and career plans. Our programme includes: Module 1 Introduction to maritime controlling topics: Sea voyage controlling: Planning, monitoring and controlling of sea voyages Project controlling: Planning, monitoring and controlling large-scale maritime logistics projects Fonds controlling: Planning, monitoring and controlling vessel budgets Shipyard controlling: Preparing and following up on vessel class inspections with shipyard stays Corporate controlling: Planning, monitoring and controlling ship; management activities and affiliated companies Module 2 Maritime Services − get an overview of the company group's operational units: Introduction to the heavy lift business: Learn more about SAL/Intermarine − operations, project management and chartering Speed dating with different ship management service units, such as Maritime IT, Crewing, Purchase, QHSE, Flag, Maritime Insurance and Technical Units Module 3 International Expedition Visit one of our overseas offices in Houston, Schiedam or São Paulo, and learn more about our affiliated companies Intermarine and the JSI Alliance Board one of our heavy lift vessels and visit different ports around the globe as part of the crew You hold a B.Sc. or Master's degree in business administration with focus on controlling, finance or audit / accounting or other financial education You are ready to take on responsibility and are able to work independently You thrive in a multinational team environment where teamwork is essential Your level of German and English language should be C1 Hands-on experience with all aspects of shipping A multinational workplace where all projects are unique A strong team culture and an open and friendly atmosphere On-site projects and vessel visits Support and supervision from designated contacts in your department, a trainee mentor during the entire programme and regular feedback on your work Technical work package incl. laptop and smartphone Assistance with finding living accommodations Fair trainee salary with additional benefits, such as company fitness and lunch offerings Potential for permanent employment after successful programme completion
