Job Description Summary Job Description Summary This position is responsible for leading end-to-end program execution across supply chain, engineering, and manufacturing functions within GE Vernova's Small Modular Reactor (SMR) BWRX-300 program. The role drives operational discipline, lean transformation, and supplier performance to ensure customer commitments are consistently met. Working across organizational functions, the Senior SMR Execution Manager partners with operational and technical leaders to build execution capability, eliminate waste, and deliver sustainable business results. This role will require flexibility and will remain dynamic as the GE Vernova SMR operations organization grows and develops[MH1] . This role will begin as an individual contributor and OMDP assignment leader with expanding responsibilities in the long term to grow the team and manage direct reports[MH2] . The Senior SMR Execution Manager must effectively manage through change and uncertainty and fully embrace the cross-functional, diverse, and changing responsibilities that this position will [MH3] require. Job Description Essential Responsibilities Own end-to-end SMR program execution, integrating supply chain, engineering, and manufacturing (internal and external) workstreams to meet customer schedule and quality commitments. Champion lean manufacturing principles and standard work across the SMR value stream-leading kaizen events, value stream mapping, and structured problem-solving initiatives. Develop and institutionalize standard operating procedures that create repeatable, scalable execution frameworks for current and future SMR programs. Build and sustain high-performance supplier relationships; lead supplier development, performance management, and capacity planning for critical SMR components. Monitor program health through KPIs and leading indicators; implement corrective actions to resolve schedule or cost deviations. Establish and maintain master execution plans; drive cross-functional accountability and escalate risks proactively to senior leadership. Drive supply chain risk mitigation strategies, including capability and training programs, to protect program schedules. Lead and align teams across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain-creating shared ownership of program outcomes. Represent SMR execution at senior leadership reviews, customer meetings, and cross-site operational forums. Mentor direct reports and coach lean behaviors, promoting a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. Qualifications / Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field from an accredited university or college. 5+ years of experience in the energy industry, with direct exposure to supply chain, manufacturing, or engineering program execution. Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization with a track record of on-time program delivery. Hands-on proficiency with lean manufacturing tools and methodologies; standard work, value stream mapping, kaizen, 5S, and systems thinking. Strong structured problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation. Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority across functions and organizational levels. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to drive alignment from shop floor to senior leadership. Desired Characteristics Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or MBA. Experience in nuclear, power generation, or regulated heavy industrial manufacturing environments. Familiarity with SMR technology, nuclear supply chain requirements, or ASME/N-stamp code environments. Lean or Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) or equivalent formal training. Experience with supplier qualification, development, or sourcing in engineered-to-order manufacturing. Strong knowledge of GE Vernova operating methods, management systems, and continuous improvement frameworks. High degree of accountability, resilience, and execution focus in ambiguous, fast-paced program environments. People leader experience. This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
