Principal Structural Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design and delivery of multidisciplinary projects from concept through to completion.
• Provide technical oversight and ensure compliance with relevant Eurocodes, Irish building regulations, and industry standards.
• Manage project teams, resources, and timelines to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and external partners.
• Oversee the preparation and review of structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Drive innovation and sustainable design practices across all project types.
• Mentor and develop junior and senior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Support business development activities, including bid preparation and client presentations.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
• Sector Focus:
• Residential: High-density housing, mixed-use developments, and urban regeneration projects.
• Healthcare: Hospitals, primary care centres, and specialist medical facilities requiring complex structural solutions.
• Education: Schools, universities, and research facilities with a focus on flexible and sustainable design.
• Infrastructure: Transport, utilities, and public realm projects supporting Ireland's growing infrastructure needs.

• Here's what we're looking for:
• As the successful candidate you will have experience working within our market along with having the following qualfications and experience.
• Degree: Honours Bachelor's (Level 8) or preferably Master's (Level 9) in Structural or Civil Engineering
• Chartership (essential): Chartered Engineer (CEng)
• Member of Institution of Structural Engineers (MIStructE) and/or Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE)
