Responsibilities

  • Operates Die Cutter Machine to develop end-result printed material in accordance with customer specifications:
  •  Operate Die Cutter machine, troubleshoot and monitor operation.
  •  Prepares Die Cutter by performing a variety of tasks to produce a consistent, high quality product by adjusting the die and register for pressure and cutting.
  •  Perform a variety of make ready tasks for high productivity and precision operations, resolves defects and adjustments to produce high quality product.

  •  Make adjustments, clear jams, while processing product, maintaining speed and quality.
  •  Ensure efficient and rapid make ready, with unloading and loading.
  • QUALITY:
  • Ensure quality of jobs completed by reviewing for quality and accuracy.
  • Makes sure jobs are complete and error free.
  •  Ensures finished product exceeds customer expectations.
  •  Ensure all checklists are completed.
  •  Support and communicate all ISO standards and quality objectives.
  •  Complies with cGMP, HACCP Food Safety Requirements and Chain of Custody Program Requirements.
  • SAFETY:
  • Ensures complete adherence and compliance to the OHSE policies. Assists team members in maintaining clean and safe environment.
  •  Maintains and follows all company policies and procedures for safety, personal protection and hazard materials/waste handling according to established guidelines.
  •  Follows all personal protection procedures by use of appropriate PPE at all times.
  •  Follows established procedures and guidelines for the handling and disposal of all hazardous materials/waste.
  •  Maintains and wears proper uniform according to company policy.
  •  Use Company provided safety lifting equipment, i.e., hoist, jacks, vacuum manipulators, etc.
  •  Properly stores and arranges work area to maintain cleanliness and safe environment following all safety rules and regulations for grounding, storage, spill clean-up, etc.

  • Interacts with the team and co-workers in a way that promotes respect, encourages cooperation and contributes to excellent performance
  •  Communicates accurate information to all team members in a professional and courteous manner that conveys a willingness to assist.
  •  Accepts direction and feedback from supervisor and follows through appropriately.

Requirements

  •  High School diploma (or GED).
  •  Minimum of 3 years of Die Cutting experience. Bobst 104 and/or Bobst 106, preferred
  •  Must have interpersonal and communication skills.
  •  Must possess basic computer skills and mathematical skills necessary to compute percentages, weights and measures.
  •  Must be able to perform any and all work or additional tasks as required or requested by Department Leads, Shift Leads, or Management.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  •  This position requires prolonged periods of standing, stooping, bending and/or reaching, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching with hands and arms, hearing and speaking.
  •  Frequent lifting in excess of 60 lbs is required.
  •  Must be able to hold, touch, feel and manipulate with hands product and equipment in a safe manner. Manual dexterity is required.
  •  Use of close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus as well as good eye-hand coordination.
  •  Must be able to rotate shifts and be available to work in excess of 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week when necessary to meet customer product needs.
