Responsibilities
- Perform the systems and integration testing of prototype and certified Batteries or BMS components for the eVTOL aircraft
- Collaborate with BMS, Controls, Engines, Flight, Integrated, & Systems teams across the company to develop test plans and execute on those plans for flight critical hardware
- Support Regression testing
- Support EMC, Short Circuit, and Electrical Design Infrastructure
- Develop and test Mission Profiles on batteries
- Assist in developing the digital testing infrastructure for data storage and analysis
- Analyze test data and share with engineering teams
- Develop automated test equipment as needed
- Support Production & Reliability lab electrical infrastructure design
- Create reports for submission to the FAA.
- What you need:
- BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in a battery design, bms/controls, battery testing, and/or electrical/electronic design/test environment
- Proficient in DO-160G, DO-311A, UN 38.3 or applicable test standards for test planning, setup, and execution
- Experience testing Battery Pack and BMS Electrically
- Experience with high voltage systems: cars, aircraft, etc.
- Experience with a wide variety of DAQ systems
- Experience with Altium
- Demonstrated project execution experience
- Positive can-do attitude
- Proficient with LabVIE or Python
- Proficient with CANoe, CANalyzer, PCAN
- Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience with Automation and Data Processing
- Experience with Polarion, JAMA, DOORS or other requirements management tools
- Hands-on experience wearing multiple hats in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direction and supervision
- Experience with AVL, Chroma, NI, HIL environments, and/or other Test Systems
- Experience with Electrical and Environmental test equipment
- Experience creating reports for certification agencies
