Responsibilities
- Lead a team of finance professionals to coordinate and consolidate the University‑wide budget, including departmental budgets managed through department cluster leads and finance partners.
- Develop deep functional expertise and leadership capabilities amongst finance leads/partners so that they can support the operational finance strategy and performance standards for their respective areas of responsibility.
- Has overall accountability for translating the University and Finance function's long‑term objectives into coherent, actionable financial plans across departments, in partnership with finance leads and partners.
- Plan and allocate resources to areas where they will most effectively contribute to long term goals.
- Possess deep understanding of various internal operational processes related to finance within the University, benchmark best practices amongst higher educational institutions and drive continuous improvements.
- Support capital / strategic initiatives with financial modelling.
- The candidate will collaborate with other university corporate functions (including the Office of Human Resources to analyse manpower planning outcomes) and provide financial insights that support the University's objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accountancy with minimum 15 years of relevant experience in financial planning & analysis and budgeting
- CA is a pre-requisite
- Relevant work experience in a supervisory position.
- Solid knowledge and experience in Audit Administration
- Strong senior stakeholder management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
- Experience working in SAP HANA and Workday environments, including reporting or diagnostics, is advantageous.
