Software Engineer, Infrastructure Services

About the role

We're looking for a software engineer with a unique blend of experience and interest in systems, architecture, network and software development practices. You will be part of a forward-thinking and dynamic team responsible for supporting Apple's Edge Infrastructure. Our team is responsible for systems which configure the Edge for Apple.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, test, develop, and maintain software solutions to address configuring the Edge.
• Support our dynamically evolving global Content Delivery Network.

Requirements

• A passion for solving complex problems at scale and driving technical innovation.
• Experience with domain-specific languages (DSLs), versioned and compatibility of configurations, interpreter concepts, and configuration developer tools.
• Knowledge of networking protocols like HTTP, TLS, or TCP/IP.
• OpenAPI, gRPC/Protobuf, Terraform/OpenTofu
• Experience deploying and managing applications on Kubernetes such as Helm, Pulumi, Flux
• Familiarity with proxy systems such as NGINX or Envoy.
• BS in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent job-related experience
• 5+ years of software development experience with languages such as Go, Rust, C++, Swift, etc
