The Unit Assistant is responsible for direct and indirect service rendered to patients and families under the supervision of Registered Nurse (RN). This may include unit clerk clerical tasks, preparing or transporting sterile supplies or work areas, inventory and restocking of unit supplies and equipment, as well as miscellaneous housekeeping and department cleaning. HS Diploma or GED Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella. MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
