About the role

We are looking for a technical leader who has been in the trenches of embedded systems and robotics - who knows how to run complex programs and scale both software and teams. This is a deeply technical role. You'll be closely involved in system design decisions across a complex stack: custom hardware, embedded Linux, actuator control, computer vision, WiFi, safety systems, and IO protocols. You'll partner with the science team to implement modern control algorithms and you'll own and operate these systems across Amazon-scale fleets. Requirements

  • 5+ years of engineering team management experience
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • 7+ years of hands-on embedded software development experience - robotics, medical devices, telecom, or similar hardware-adjacent domains
  • 3+ years operating systems deployed at scale
  • Previous hands-on experience as an embedded software engineer.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Graduate work in embedded systems, real time control, robotics , systems engineering or related disciplines
  • Deep experience with software development best practices as applied to real-time embedded systems
