The Intake Coordinator orchestrates smooth admissions with empathy, accuracy, and urgency -bringing steady energy and teamwork to our busiest hours. How You Will Make a Difference Answer referral lines; triage calls from families, EDs, and providers with warmth and professionalism. Verify insurance, gather demographics, and schedule assessments/admissions. Track bed board and collaborate with nursing, EVS, and security for timely room readiness. Maintain real‑time logs, dashboards, and handoffs between shifts. Coordinate with rounding providers and daytime interdisciplinary teams to keep care plans moving. Support safe discharges and smooth handoffs to evening/night teams.
