Job description: Conducting routine servicing of lift/escalator equipment, including minor repair work and the routine replacement of components and in accordance with approved company procedures (PPE, PDA, Expert+ etc) Rectifying and reducing faults on lift/escalator equipment in cases of breakdown and check to confirm correct functioning Checking the lift/escalator function as part of maintenance, checks to include, speed, motor start/stop, weight, noise, temperature, and power supplies using approved company issued tooling and protective equipment Conducting the routine inspection and adjustment of lift/escalator in accordance with approved procedures Reinstating lift/escalator and complete service documentation Conducting more advanced fault finding and diagnostic procedures using a range of techniques, technical manuals, and appropriate test equipment, restoring equipment to service. Competence is required to make effective use of written or graphical information Conducting site surveys and attend all relevant training sessions to keep up to date on technical knowledge and skills Profile description: Experience in Lift/Escalator Servicing/ Maintenance/ Repairs preferred Qualified to NVQ level 3 minimum in Lift/Escalator maintenance or equivalent Advanced Electrical and Mechanical knowledge, including multi-brand equipment The ability to work independently with a flexible approach Effective communication skills at various levels (Client/Service Leader/Inspectors) Manual dexterity - Requires the use of hands, arms, and feet for repetitive lifting; use of hands and arms to operate various hand and power tools and to record written information Proven fault finding and diagnostic skills Good administration skills and punctuality Full UK driving license
