To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, the next lower grade level is a GS-11. Specialized experience for this GS-12 position includes: Experience interpreting and applying federal human resources staffing and recruitment principles, practices, laws, and regulations in order to provide advisory services in recruitment and placement strategies; and Experience reviewing, coding and processing personnel actions; and Experience in organizational design, position management, restructuring, and pay/compensation integration; and Experience participating on a project team involving federal human resources operational process changes and improvements. For this position, the next lower grade level is a GS-12. Specialized experience for this GS-13 position includes: Experience interpreting and applying federal human resources staffing and recruitment and classification principles, practices, laws, and regulations; and Experience serving as a subject matter expert providing advisory services in federal recruitment and placement and classification strategies; and Experience serving as a quality reviewer in coding and processing personnel actions; and Experience in organizational design, position management, restructuring, and pay/compensation integration within an organization, and Experience leading a project team involving federal human resources operational process changes and improvements. Delegated Examining Certified candidates is "highly desired" for this position. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
