About the role

This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command. The incumbent will be responsible for To serve as the Operations Support Specialist in support of the Chief, Deployment and Distribution Operations Center (DDOC), Global Operations Center (GOC), United States Transportation Command. You may qualify at the GS-GS-12 if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service: Knowledge of transportation and logistics missions, roles, functions, organizational structures, relationships, systems, and operational planning objectives to review and provide global command and control. Analyzing and interpreting information/data to monitor and report on operations using systems such as Joint Operations Planning and Execution System, Single Mobility System, Automated Message Handling System, Logbook, Task Management Tool. Coordinating command operational transportation planning requirements by ensuring a seamless integrated execution process. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
