Responsibilities

  • Prepare and provide Inspection Test Plan (ITP) based on the drawings and specifications to the supplier for Spare part orders.
  • Reviews & approves Supplier ITP wherever applicable / agreed by FLS's Supplier Quality Manager (SQM).
  • Coordinate with SQM, Supplier Quality Inspectors on quality inspection activities at Supplier works as per ITP for various stages and ensure comply with business requirements on specification, format and timely
  • Coordinate with Supplier and Engineering for any technical clarifications, queries, deviation requests raised during manufacturing and provide clearances.
  • Provides advance intimations to the Customers (wherever applicable) for upcoming inspections and coordinate with customers, suppliers, Inspectors and thereby ensure contract requirements are fulfilled.
  • Ensures that all parts are inspected properly by the Inspector in accordance with ITP, work instructions, drawings and relevant standards.
  • Follows up on inspection documentation from Suppliers / Inspectors including third-party inspector's and ensure traceability and filing.
  • Support SQMs at various locations on reviewing quality documents, prepares and, submit the quality dossiers as per contract ITP, specifications, requirements.
  • Approve / provide quality release / clearance for the shipment within agreed timeline.
  • Collaborate and obtain feedback with Buyer, Engineering, Project Management, Field Services (wherever applicable) team to ensure that suppliers are delivering the parts with high quality standards and within time.
  • Supports the handling of (internal or external) customer complaints, associated remedial action, and improvement activities.
  • Handles Corrective Action Reporting (CAR) (where needed) based on the Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR) (if any) issued against the Suppliers.
  • Manage and maintain master quality documentation including technical queries/clarifications, deviation requests, Inspection reports, NCRs, CAR and related Quality documents in a common SharePoint folder.

  • Education
  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Manufacturing with minimum 10 years of experience in Inspection and Quality documentation review

Requirements

  • Read and understand drawings, engineering documents, International Standards & Specification
  • Review and communicate to supplier on Customer's Technical / Contract requirements, contractual obligations, and quality standards
  • Knowledge and experience of Mining equipment manufacturing & inspection requirements
  • Review and interpretation of technical documents, inspection reports, test results, Inspection Test Plan.
  • Non-conformance in Products and Corrective action handling
  • Functional competencies, Knowledge, Skill, and Capabilities
  • Mandatory:
  • English proficiency level - Intermediate
  • Experience in supplier in process manufacturing & inspection
  • Holding certification in NDT - PT, MT, UT
  • Understanding technical specifications and standards.
  • Optional / Added Advantage
  • Dimensional & NDT Inspector
  • Fluency in German / Chinese
  • Holding certification in NDT - RT, VT
  • Welding Inspector Certification
  • Painting Inspector Certification
