About the role

The Communications and Marketing Coordinator supports the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education's marketing and communications efforts by creating and delivering engaging content that promotes agency programs, services, and initiatives. This position plays a key role in advancing the agency's brand, enhancing public awareness, and ensuring effective communication with internal and external audiences. This role will coordinate CareerTech's social media activities and support the overall marketing and communications goals of the organization. Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, communication, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a related field Experience in content creation and storytelling Ability to edit and manage social/digital media platforms Preferred: Journalism or technical writing skills Event photography and editing abilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate CareerTech's social media content and platforms. Collaborate with CareerTech agency staff and stakeholders to develop and deliver marketing and communication strategies for agency programs and services. Create effective copy for websites, social media platforms, videos, and podcasts. Evaluate communication channels to ensure effective and consistent message communication. Contribute to marketing plans, campaigns, and system goals. Assist with web maintenance and publishing tasks as needed. Salary and Benefits $45,940.86 - $52,044.49 The state provides a benefit allowance to help you pay for insurance premiums which include health, dental, life, and disability insurance. The amount of your allowance, $9,051.60 - $21,942.72, is determined based upon the dependents you choose to include in health coverage. Communication Skills Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills while creating engaging social media content and maintaining consistent brand messaging across multiple platforms. Effectively manage online communities by responding to customer inquiries, fostering audience engagement, and building positive relationships with followers. Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to develop compelling content, communicate customer feedback, and support overall marketing and communication objectives. Licenses, Certificates, Registrations Requires valid driver's license. Physical Demand Ability to lift 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
