About the role
The primary purpose of the position is to serve as Nursing Service program support in the execution of administrative and clerical responsibilities for assigned Nurse Managers in a prompt and expeditious manner. In that case, you must submit an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one full year of time-in-grade. Note: Time-in-grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees seeking reinstatement and to current employees applying under the Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA). You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below: Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 level in the normal line of progression for this occupation. Specialized experience must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the work of a Time and Leave Clerk (OA). Examples of qualifying specialized experience include, but are not limited to: Applying standard rules and regulations related to entitlement and use of various categories of time and leave. Managing a customer service area and independently performing administrative, technical, clerical, and research tasks. Screening and directing incoming phone calls and messages. Using office equipment such as computers, scanners, fax machines, photocopiers, and electronic typewriters to create and edit documents. Reproducing and distributing materials and maintaining office files. OR, Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have four (4) years of education above high school (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED). OR, Combination: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have an combination of specialized experience and education beyond four (4) years of high school. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED).
