Engineering Lead

About the role

CBRE is looking for a confident, hands-on, and independent Engineering Lead to oversee engineering operations for a leading technology client in Singapore. This is a highly client-facing role suited for someone with strong interpersonal skills, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to lead with confidence in a dynamic environment. You will be trusted to manage daily engineering operations, build strong partnerships with the client, and drive operational excellence across the site. You will lead the engineering team, manage vendors and contractors, and ensure all building systems and facilities operate safely, efficiently, and reliably

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day engineering and maintenance operations for the Singapore site.
• Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and act as a trusted operational partner.
• Manage and mentor the engineering team, providing guidance, coaching, and leadership.
• Oversee vendors, contractors, and service partners to ensure quality delivery and compliance.
• Ensure building systems, preventive maintenance, and critical infrastructure are operating effectively.
• Drive operational improvements, problem-solving, and quick decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
• Support budgeting, reporting, scheduling, and maintenance planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety, operational, and workplace standards.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of relevant facilities or engineering operations experience.
• Strong client management and stakeholder engagement experience.
• Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Independent, proactive, and able to perform well in a fast-moving environment.
• Experience leading engineering teams, vendors, and site operations.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and building systems.
• Degree or diploma in Engineering or related discipline preferred
