About the role
Lead origination and closing of C&I solar deals - rooftop PV for factories, warehouses, logistics hubs, data centres, and malls across Singapore. You'll build the pipeline end to end, structuring deals across both outright purchase/EPC (CAPEX) and solar PPA/leasing models.
Responsibilities
- Originate and close C&I opportunities against agreed MWp and revenue targets, through prospecting, referrals, tenders, and partner channels.
- Build relationships with industrial and commercial property owners, manufacturers, MNCs, SME owners and facility managers.
- Structure proposals across CAPEX and OPEX models and present ROI, payback and savings clearly.
- Work closely with engineering on feasibility, design, and pricing.
- Lead negotiations and close contracts (EPC, PPA, lease terms), coordinating legal, financing, and internal approvals.
- Keep updated with Singapore's solar landscape - SP Group grid connection, EMA requirements, relevant grants/schemes - to advise clients and structure new business models.
- Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting in CRM; mentor and guide the junior BD executive.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Business, Energy/Sustainability, or related.
- 5+ years in B2B business development / solutions sales, with a track record of closing large-ticket deals.
- Strong commercial acumen - comfortable with ROI/payback and deal structuring across CAPEX and OPEX.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills up to C-suite level; able to build a pipeline from scratch.
- Preferred: experience in solar/renewables or power; familiarity with PPA structures and project financing; knowledge of Singapore's energy market and an existing C&I network.
