Thanks for your interest in working on our team! We are currently looking for a highly motivated NPI-LCE Test Engineer (M/F/D) to join our NPI-LCE team in Meiningen, Germany or Shenzhen, China. Principle duties and essential functions The NPI-LCE Test Engineer (M/F/D) will be responsible for end to end manufacturing test strategy to assure quality of Adtran Products. The candidate must have good knowledge of relevant telecom, networking, and optical industry standards and specifications. The candidate must also have experience in automation tools such as NI TestStand and python. Design Tasks: Architect test concepts for WDM telecom devices by working closely with the R&D, NPI and Production Engineers Design and document the test hardware and software required to met all the test specifications. Support existing test solutions in manufacturing. Develop complex algorythems for calibrating optical devices Development and Deployment Tasks: Work with R&D to define all necessary test processes Work with test colleagues to develop test steps, drivers and test sequences for automation Work with test colleagues to ensure test solution meets design specifications Work with the contract manufacturer to transfer test solution into manufacturing Sustain Tasks: Support implementation of ECOs. Support continuous improvements that will result in higher quality with lowest test cost Knowledge, skills and experience required Master degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or Electrical, Telecom Engineering Engineering background for telecommunication or comparable products Experience in telecom/datacom product design life cycles Fluent in English language skills both written and spoken German and Chinese skills language skills a plus Understanding of multi-culture and ways of doing global business Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to read and understand hardware circuit schematics, CAD files and IC data sheets Knowledge of FPGA, Microprocessors and optical components and high-speed buses strongly preferred Experience with Optical test instruments is preferred Must be accomplished in VC++, C# or C Knowledge of National Instruments software suite s well as of SQL database, strongly preferred Understanding of DFM, DFT and manufacturing process Experience in high volume manufacturing test design and manufacturing as well as structural testing
