Customer Service Consultant Clayton Full time | Permanent Fundamental Purpose To help our customers & other PPG departments/personnel achieve their business goals by providing an accurate, timely, & supportive service. Accountabilities Respond promptly and professionally to customer enquiries, orders, and returns. Manage all sales/service enquiries via inbound Email & Phone Systems within set SLAs, striving for first contact resolution with high attention to detail and accuracy Ensuring all orders, credits & returns are processed with a high level of accuracy & efficiency into ERP system Establish initiative-taking and professional communication with internal & external stakeholders Providing quotes & product / safety information Review purchase orders and resolve customer account enquiries Liasing with couriers & PPG Branches to provide delivery ETA's Delivering strong and professional verbal and written communication Attend product, system and skill training as required for your professional and personal development Assist with other admin tasks across the Customer Service team as required Required Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel & Word packages. High level of attention to detail Knowledge of Supply Chain functions is an advantage Experience working in Manufacturing environments is an advantage Knowledge of SAP S/4 Hana system is an advantage Experience with, or knowledge of, paint/coatings/colours is an advantage Proven interpersonal and team skills Proactive nature - taking initiative Success Factors All employees of PPG need to demonstrate and commit to our Prime Success Factors. Demonstrate Openness and Flexibility by exercising self-control when dealing with difficult customers (external or internal) or situations. Take Responsibility takes an active part in addressing customer problems initiating any required actions. Builds Strong Work Relationships by developing an understanding of a customer's needs/requirements resulting in an excellent working rapport. Support this understanding by delivering on commitments made to the customer. This in turn will ensure that the customer has a positive perception of the PPG business.
