Requirements

  • You are a patient and/or client centered individual who performs at an exemplary standard
  • You are a team player with excellent communication, critical thinking and prioritization skills

  • What you bring to the role:
  • Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses
  • Current BLS certification
  • Minimum of 2 & 3 years related experience in a Medical/Long term Care environment with evidence of well developed clinical skills. Previous palliative care experience is an asset
  • Completion of Gentle Persuasion is an asset
  • Excellent physical assessment skills; completion of a physical assessment course will be considered a strong asset
  • Experience in IV Therapy
  • Working knowledge of computer technology
  • Demonstrated commitment to a patient/family centred care environment
  • Demonstrated excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an interprofessional team as well as independently
  • Well developed organization, communication, interpersonal and teaching skills
  • Demonstrated good and performance and attendance record with the ability to maintain this same standard
  • Work Schedule:
  • 12 hour day and night shifts - 7 days a week + statutory holidays (0730-1930 & 1930-0730)
