Responsibilities

  • Renewals & Marketing: Lead renewal strategy and execution, including market selection, exposure and loss analysis, data gathering, application and submission prep, proposal delivery, carrier negotiation, and binding.

  • Claims Support & Team Development: Support clients through the claims process by reporting losses and coordinating with adjusters, and mentor junior Account Managers to promote consistent service practices.
  • Policy & Billing Setup: Accurately set up aviation policies in the agency management system, request carrier invoices, and ensure billing is processed in the correct accounting period, including support for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and reporter billing cycles.
  • Receivables, Payables & Reconciliation: Support Producer and Retail Payables, manage billing reconciliations, communicate with clients on Aged Receivables per internal collection guidelines, and assist with return premium processing and ACH/wire coordination.
  • Statements & Payment Accuracy: Review carrier statements, ensure proper payment application, and work with accounting to resolve discrepancies or remittance issues, including premium‑financed accounts.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain strong, collaborative partnerships with aviation carriers, MGAs, and wholesalers to support efficient placement and service.
  • Market Strategy & Negotiation: Support the "Fewer & Stronger" market consolidation strategy and work closely with underwriters to secure optimal coverage, pricing, and terms-especially for large, complex, or high‑limit accounts.
  • Contract & Compliance Oversight: Review carrier/wholesaler contracts for accuracy and compliance and assist with updating or delivering retail agent agreements as needed.
  • Successful Candidates Will Have:
  • 3+ years of experience in P&C brokerage, with at least 1 years focused on aviation.
  • Deep technical knowledge of aviation insurance including hull, liability, war risks, hangar keepers, products liability, and related specialty coverages.
  • Strong understanding of aviation operations, key risk drivers, and underwriting requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret pilot records, training documents, aircraft specifications, hangar agreements, and other aviation‑related information.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within the team and maintain professionalism during urgent, complex, or high‑pressure situations.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong market relationships.
  • Active state issued P&C license

The Aviation Account Manager is responsible for the day‑to‑day client servicing and technical support for an assigned book of aviation clients. This may include airports, FBOs, MROs, fleet operators, private clients, rotor‑wing, aerospace manufacturers, product liability accounts, hangar operators, non‑owned aviation, and other related specialty exposures. The Account Manager partners closely with the Producer or Account Executive who drives overall client strategy, placement, and business development. The role requires a strong understanding of aviation insurance, underwriting requirements, key operational exposures, and communication with flight departments, maintenance teams, and aviation underwriters.
