Job Description: The Rehab Business Development Director provides strategic operational oversight, management, and leadership for the Admissions and Care Management departments at Frazier Rehabilitation Institute. Responsibilities include efficient and effective management of rehab throughput from appropriate admissions to timely discharges using data-driven and industry standard implementation to maintain competitive advantage within the rehab market. The Rehab Business Development Director is responsible to create an environment and culture that enables Frazier Rehab Institute and the UofL Health system to fulfill its mission to by meeting and exceeding its established goals, conveying the Frazier mission to all stakeholders and holding staff accountable for performance, motivating staff to improve performance and being responsible for the department operations assessment and continuous individual and department improvement. The Director has knowledge of the post acute care network, regulations and compliance standards, as well as clinical cost reduction, utilization management, care transitions, population management, marketing, defined quality metrics, continuous performance improvement, appropriate reimbursement. Ensures efficient and professional services designed to meet the needs of the referring partners, patients, personnel, medical staff, students, and the hospital's strategic objectives. Requires payor conditions of participation and reimbursement terms and conditions. Position requires effective continuous collaboration with UofL Health system leadership, physicians, community stakeholders and regional referral sources. Essential Functions: Provide director-level leadership and operational oversight for Admissions and Care Management in alignment with Frazier Rehabilitation Institute and UofL Health system mission, vision, and values. Support organizational strategic planning by aligning access, throughput, and referral management strategies with hospital and system goals. Ensure departmental accountability structures are in place to support ethical conduct, transparency, and performance excellence. Promote a culture of safety, quality, patient-centered care, and continuous performance improvement consistent with CARF principles. Ensure fair, timely, and appropriate access to rehabilitation services using standardized admission criteria consistent with expectations. Oversee patient flow from referral through admission, transfer, and discharge to support continuity of care across the post-acute continuum. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to remove barriers to access and transitions, promoting seamless care coordination and discharge planning. Monitor and improve timeliness of admission and discharge processes to optimize patient outcomes and system efficiency. Ensure admissions and care management processes reflect person-centered, culturally responsive practices that respect patient preferences, strengths, and goals. Support engagement of families, caregivers, referral partners, and community stakeholders throughout the rehabilitation episode. Ensure professional, responsive service delivery that meets the needs of patients, families, physicians, staff, students, and referral sources. Ensure compliance with CARF standards, CMS Conditions of Participation, payer requirements, and applicable state and federal regulations. Oversee processes that mitigate organizational risk related to admission decisions, utilization management, and care transitions. Ensure documentation, processes, and decision-making support accreditation readiness and survey success. Apply expertise in utilization management, population health, and care transitions to ensure clinically appropriate, cost-effective use of rehabilitation services. Support appropriate reimbursement by ensuring compliance with payer authorization, documentation, and medical necessity requirements. Contribute to clinical cost reduction strategies while preserving quality, access, and patient outcomes. Lead, coach, and develop Admissions and Care Management staff to ensure role competency, performance accountability, and professional growth. Foster staff engagement, motivation, and adherenc
