About the role

You will serve as a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (SECURITY/SYSTEM ANALYSIS) in the CYBER DIRECTORATE (N6) of COMNAVSURFPAC. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: formulating courses of action for correcting configuration management problems that may exist with internal and external providers and stakeholders. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: recommending improvements to identify areas of potential risk or resistance to change and develops specific plans to mitigate them. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: developing approaches to correct existing or anticipated release discrepancies or problems. Additionally, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: evaluating cybersecurity programs by identifying hardware and software security vulnerabilities to develop and implement plans ensuring required software or hardware security patches are applied to maintain operational readiness of systems or platforms.
