Ocean Export Customer Service Officer

Responsibilities

• Accurate Data Entry: Enter shipment data according to Export Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Booking Management: Create Quick Bookings based on booking confirmations and update records in the CargoWise system.
• Export Documentation: Register Consol shipments and issue Shippers Instructions in a timely and accurate manner.
• Information Management: Respond to information requests, retrieve relevant files, and maintain organized documentation.
• Quality Assurance: Review completed work to ensure data accuracy and compliance with company standards.
• Stakeholder Communication: Proactively communicate with customers, agents, and internal stakeholders via email regarding shipment status and requirements.
• Confidentiality & Compliance: Safeguard sensitive customer and company information at all times.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute ideas and initiatives to improve processes, efficiency, and service quality.

Requirements

• Freight Forwarding Experience: Prior experience in export operations within the freight forwarding industry.
• Data Entry Expertise: Proven experience in data entry with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and CargoWise system knowledge is an advantage.
• Communication Skills: Good command of spoken and written English.
• Typing Proficiency: Fast and accurate typing skills with the ability to manage high volumes of data.
• Detail-Oriented: Strong focus on accuracy, compliance, and process adherence.
• Minimum Diploma in any related field or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in freight forwarding export operations will be an added advantage.
