Job Description Summary The Occupational Health and Hygiene Leader will provide comprehensive support to the Advanced Research Center (ARC) team, focusing on the proactive assessment and control of occupational health and exposure risks. This role is designed for an emerging EHS professional ready to take ownership of site health programs while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive a culture of safety. As an early-career leader, you will be responsible for both strategic program development and hands-on technical fieldwork. Job Description Essential Responsibilities Quantitative Exposure Assessment: Design and execute industrial hygiene monitoring strategies, including air sampling, noise dosimetry, and radiation surveys. Use quantitative data to characterize exposure profiles and validate the effectiveness of engineering and administrative controls. Technical Mastery: Develop deep expertise in the technologies and systems required to safeguard the ARC, including chemical management, radiation protection, and specialized control systems. Integrated EHS Support: Serve as a subject matter expert, managing programs for industrial hygiene, chemical safety, and ergonomic health. Risk Mitigation Partnership: Partner with scientists and engineers to assess risks at the design phase of new research projects and equipment installations. Program Ownership: Lead the continuous improvement of health-related programs, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and GE Vernova's internal EHS standards. Education & Engagement: Provide training and coaching to the ARC team, translating complex technical health data into actionable safety behaviors. Continuous Improvement: Utilize Lean principles to drive measurable EHS excellence and solve operational challenges through data-driven decision-making. Qualifications/Requirements Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Environmental Health Science, or a related technical discipline. Experience: : 3-5 years of progressive experience in an industrial, research, or laboratory setting Quantitative Expertise: Demonstrated practical experience in designing and performing quantitative industrial hygiene sampling (e.g., air sampling, noise surveys, or area monitoring). Technical Aptitude: A commitment to continuous, critical learning and the application of cutting-edge safety technologies to identify and mitigate evolving workplace hazards. Analytical Ability: Ability to interpret sampling results against regulatory limits and translate findings into clear, effective risk mitigation recommendations for the team. Desired Characteristics Collaborative Leadership: Demonstrated ability to bring individual contributors and leaders together to achieve collective health and safety goals. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex operational issues in a fast-paced R&D environment. Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $113,100.00 and $188,500.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
