About the Position: As chief of the section and Brigade S-1 Officer (Adjutant), monitors, coordinates, and directs the effective and efficient administration of the full spectrum of human resources areas to ensure compliance with established policies, directives, and operating procedures. Current Civilian Employees of U.S. Army T2COM Domestic Defense Industrial Base/Major Range and Test Facilities Base Civilian Personnel Workforce (DIB and MRTFB) In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Monitors, coordinates, and directs the effective and efficient administration of the full spectrum of human resources areas to ensure compliance with established policies, directives, and operating procedures; 2) Serves as the subject matter expert on matters pertaining to individual Soldier and unit readiness; 3) Oversees military personnel management, processing of records and actions, and data entry in Human Resources system; AND 4) Develops and manages the Military Awards Program for the Brigade, and directs maintenance of all leaves and passes, to include sign-out and in procedures as necessary. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: I have successfully completed a Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Human Resources Management, Public Administration, Business Administration, and Management. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09). All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcement.
