Under limited supervision, this position is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining applications that meet the business requirements of department. This position will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Preferred Qualifications : proficiency in Java programming language and frameworks; understanding of software development principles and best practices; problem solving skills and analytical skill; strong communication and interpersonal skills; experience with SQL Server and Oracle database development; Oracle Application Express (APEX) Experience; knowledge of Nebraska Tax Programs; familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git). Knowledge/Skills/Abilities : systems analysis and design; software development principles and methods; software system testing procedures; system documentation; database design; database management principles and methodologies; troubleshooting and debugging large complex computer applications; excellent written and verbal communication skills; organize, plan, and prioritize work under pressure of deadlines; work effectively in a team environment to gather system requirements; provide guidance to less experienced coworkers; show initiative; and demonstrate good judgement.
