Responsibilities

- At minimum, Community College diploma in Medical Office Administration, Office Administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
- Two to three years of administrative experience, preferably in a hospital or academic healthcare environment.
- Experience with patient scheduling, referrals and clinical documentation
- Coordinating patients throughout the continuum of care, from referral to treatment, is an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using Epic (or another electronic medical record), scheduling systems and database applications.
- Experience with REDCap is an asset.
- Knowledge of medical terminology; experience in oncology is an asset.
- Excellent organizational, communication and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to respond to patient and family concerns with empathy, professionalism and discretion.
