About the role
You will serve as a TELECOMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST in the Operations Department, Technical Control, Operations Department of NAVAL COMP TELCOM AREA WESTPAC. Telecommunications Operations: Experience monitoring, patching, and operating digital, analog, audio, and optical circuitry within a Technical Control Facility (TCF) or similar network operations center. 2. SATCOM & Network Management: Experience configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining High Frequency (HF), Super High Frequency (SHF), Ultra High Frequency (UHF), and Extremely High Frequency (EHF) satellite communications systems. 3. Cryptographic Handling: Practical knowledge of Electronic Key Management System (EKMS) / Communications Material System (CMS) procedures, including operating cryptographic equipment and executing secure communication protocols. 4. Incident Response & Reporting: Experience initiating outage reports, Hazardous Conditions (HAZCONs), and system health checks to resolve complex telecommunications network issues This position is within the Work Category Technician and Admin Support at Work Level II, Series and Grade GG-09.
