Job Description: ENT and Allergy Associates (ENTA), one of the nation's largest ENT, Allergy, and Audiology medical practices, is seeking a full time IT Field Technician for our Long Island office locations. Hourly: $26/hour The IT Field Technician serves as the primary on-site technical resource for all end-user computing needs across ENTA's locations. In addition to traditional field support responsibilities, this role takes an expanded, hands-on ownership of Epic EHR end-user device readiness, deployment, and go-live support - acting as the critical bridge between the IT infrastructure team and Epic application teams. This technician is expected to develop familiarity with Epic workflows, peripheral integrations, and site-specific hardware configurations to serve as a trusted resource for clinical and administrative staff. Responsibilities Include but are not Limited to the Following: Field Support and Operational Management: Travel to all remote office and clinic locations to provide hands-on technical support Perform desktop-level fixes including software installation/upgrades, hardware replacement, and system configuration Execute preventative maintenance on workstations, printers, mobile cars, and peripherals Field, document, prioritize, and resolve end-user help requests via phone, email, and ticketing systems Escalate complex issues to senior technicians or application specialists as appropriate Perform post-resolution follow-ups to ensure sustained problem resolution Apply diagnostic utilities and leverage knowledge bases to aid in troubleshooting Epic EHR - End User Device Ownership: Serve as the field-level owner for all end-user devices supporting the Epic EHR implementation, including workstations, thin clients, mobile carts, printers, scanners, and peripherals Conduct on-site assessments at each go-live location to evaluate current hardware state and perform gap analysis against Epic workflow requirements Coordinate hardware procurement, staging, deployment, and testing in alignment with Epic project timelines Participate in Technical Dress Rehearsals (TDR) to validate all Epic-facing hardware and peripheral configurations; track and resolve issues to closure Maintain and update end-user device project plans, trackers, and go-live readiness logs Coordinate with Epic application project managers to ensure peripherals, storage, and hardware meet testing and production needs Act as a liaison between the IT infrastructure team and Epic application team for all device-related topics Develop proficiency in Epic end-user workflows relevant to field support (login, printing, device pairing, single sign-on via Imprivata, peripheral configuration) Provide first-line Epic technical triage at go-live sites, distinguishing between application issues and device/infrastructure issues Support end users during training, testing, and activation periods with device and connectivity troubleshooting Collaborate with Epic application analysts to document and resolve site-specific device compatibility issues Maintain awareness of Epic upgrade cycles and assist with device readiness validation prior to upgrades Inventory and Asset Management Conduct thorough, accurate hardware inventory assessments across all assigned locations Maintain up-to-date records in the organization's ITSM/asset management platform Identify and report hardware aging or lifecycle risks, particularly for Epic-critical devices Position Requirements Knowledge & Experience 3+ years of experience supporting PC systems, peripherals, and enterprise software in a multi-site environment Associate's Degree or higher in Information Technology or a related field Proficiency with Windows 10/11 operating systems and Microsoft 365 Experience with enterprise endpoint management tools (Intune, ConnectWise, Automate, or equivalent) Familiarity with EHR systems - Epic experience strongly preferred Experience with single sign-on solutions (Imprivata OneSign is a plus) Experience with Monday.com Experience with Cisco Meraki CompTIA A+ Certification preferred; Network+ or equivalent is a plus Valid driver's license, reliable transportation required for multi-site travel Personal Attributes Highly organized with strong project management instincts; capable of managing multiple concurrent site deployments Exceptional communicator - able to convey technical concepts to clinical and non-technical audiences Self-motivated and comfortable working independently across distributed locations Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Collaborative team player with experience supporting cross-functional projects Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, high pressure go-live environments Strong customer service orientation, particularly in clinical settings Work Conditions: Frequent travel to clinic locations in assigned region required Dexterity required to operate keyboards, mobile devices, power tools, and computer components Ability to l
