Trainee/Licensed Embryologist

Requirements

• Applicant must possess at least a BSc in Biomedical Sciences /Biotechnology or equivalent.
• Preferably candidates with a minimum of one (1) years of related experience.
• Able to work weekends and public holidays on a rotation basis to accommodate the IVF treatment cycles.
• Computer literate with skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Information

To handle semen analysis, sperm preparation, selection and culture of oocytes and embryos, freeze/thaw embryos and carry out ICSI and other types of ART procedures when required. To assist in all other aspects of the IVF laboratory including its maintenance, cleanliness, sterility and the indenting, purchasing and keeping stock of consumables and frozen gametes. To keep abreast with Reproductive technologies and techniques. This includes the reading of journals and participation in conferences, some of which will be sponsored. To compile and analyse data for all ART relevant statistics. To maintain and update the quality records according to the MOH guidelines on identification, filing, storage, maintenance and control where applicable. To be able to make important decision regarding daily routine work and troubleshoot with minimal supervision. To assist in quality assurance activities of Lab. Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Chief Embryologist/Group Scientific Director.
