Requirements

  • Flexibility for shift work - our hours of operation are between 6am - midnight (shifts are 8hrs long)
  • Avionics knowledge and experience
  • Aviation and/or Defence industry experience
  • Experience work on simulator devices is a nice to have

Additional Information

The Simulation Technician reports to the Maintenance Manager (or delegate) and is responsible for performing all preventative and corrective maintenance on training devices in a safe and effective manner. The goal is to ensure maximum availability and reliability of training systems to support successful training outcomes for end users. As a Simulation Technician, you'll be at the heart of aviation training technology, responsible for maintaining and repairing some of the most advanced flight simulators in the world. These include Level D full flight simulators - devices so realistic they're certified to replace actual flight hours. You'll work hands-on with complex systems like electromechanical motion platforms, immersive visual environments, and high-performance computing clusters. When something goes wrong, you'll be the one to diagnose and fix it, ensuring pilots can train without interruption.
