Responsibilities

  • Providing independent oversight and constructive challenge to ensure risks are effectively managed and governance standards are applied consistently

  • Strong understanding of financial control frameworks, governance models and risk management within financial services
  • Solid knowledge of insurance accounting, actuarial processes and regulatory requirements such as IFRS and Solvency II
  • Experience designing and embedding governance structures and risk management processes
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality MI and communicate insights clearly to senior stakeholders
  • Confidence in influencing and constructively challenging senior stakeholders in complex environments
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple risks, issues and priorities effectively
  • Experience overseeing financial reporting cycles, controls and audit processes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, both written and verbal
