Description of Work Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Salary Range: $39,244.00 - $68,679.00 The primary purpose of this position will be to manage and supervise the day-to-day classification activities at Eastern Correctional Institution Position is responsible for ensuring policies and procedures administered for offender transfer and/or release. The position will coordinate daily offender transfer. The position will review, monitor and oversee incentive wage for inmates, this position will serve as backup to the Administrative Associate II (Records Clerk) Maintain offender jackets, prepare offenders for transition to release, complete daily call sheets, court dispositions and writs. Effectively communicate with offender, staff, management and general public. Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the Minimum Education and Experience listed on the vacancy announcement. The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/Management Preferences are not required but applicants who possess the following skills are preferred: Duties for this position include but are not limited to: General knowledge of policies and procedures of the Department of Adult Corrections, General knowledge of the techniques of supportive counseling, interviewing and job placement and dealing with employment issues, knowledge of basic psychology, sociology, and psychological testing; ability to gather information concerning an individual's experience, training, attitude, social environment and mental capabilities. Ability to implement, coordinate, and supervise programs within framework of policies and procedures for the Department of Adult Corrections. Ability to make clear and concise reports, both written and oral. Facilities are categorized by custody levels (minimum, medium, close) and house individuals serving sentences for felony convictions. The division provides safety, security, and rehabilitative services through trained custody staff, program facilitators, and administrative personnel.
