Vet Director - Emergency & Critical Care - ARH Greater Western Sydney

About the role

As Vet Director - ECC, you'll be the clinical cornerstone of our emergency service. Working alongside your team, you'll lead by example - setting the benchmark in patient care while actively guiding clinicians through every stage of their growth. Your impact will be seen in how you: Navigate complex ECC cases with clarity, composure, and empathy Coach and support veterinarians through case discussions, feedback, and in-the-moment teaching Foster a culture where psychological safety and high performance go hand in hand Develop and refine clinical protocols that reflect best practice Help shape the hospital's clinical direction in partnership with senior leadership You'll work closely with leadership on strategy and growth, while keeping your focus where it belongs: on people, patients, and outcomes. About You You're an ECC veterinarian who: Holds a veterinary degree eligible for registration in New South Wales Has 5+ years' experience in a 24/7 emergency or specialty setting Is clinically assured and trusted by colleagues Gains real satisfaction from teaching, mentoring, and supporting others Leads with self-awareness, consistency, and clear communication Is ready to step into senior clinical leadership without stepping away from clinical work
