Responsibilities

  • Provide legal and commercial support on a broad range of corporate and business matters across the organisation.
  • Review, draft and negotiate commercial agreements, corporate documents and other legal contracts.
  • Advise stakeholders on legal, regulatory and compliance matters, ensuring risks are appropriately identified and managed.
  • Support strategic business initiatives, investments and corporate transactions, including conducting legal due diligence where required.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and external legal advisors on legal documentation, governance and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B) or Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a recognised institution. Admission to the Bar will be an advantage.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience gained in private practice or an in-house legal environment.
  • Exposure to corporate, commercial, M&A, compliance or related legal matters.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience in the maritime, shipping or related industries will be advantageous, but is not essential.
