About the role

You will serve as a COMMUNITY PLANNER in the Public Works Department (PWD) Washington of NSA WASHINGTON. For the GS-12 Level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing planning recommendations for facility planning, regional planning, special project planning, site planning, and economic analysis; 2) Reviewing engineering/architectural drawings or specifications for construction, demolition, energy, maintenance, facilities development projects to ensure requirements are met; 3) Utilizing Urban Planning principles/Land Use Compatibility/Land Use Constraints Analysis/Safety Criteria Applications/Sustainable Development Principles to ensure projects are in compliance; and 4) Using planning systems and automated databases to capture spatial and geographic data to support facility planning. For the GS-11 Level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Reviewing and updating project designs; 2) Applying environmental compliance programs to adhere to project execution; and 3) Preparing documentation for submission of packets (e.g. site maps, site approvals, cost estimating, etc).
