The Department of Life Sciences at Syed Babar Ali School of Science and Engineering (SBASSE), Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) , invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor . The Department of Life Sciences at SBASSE pursues research in diverse fields of Cell & Molecular Biology, including Cancer Biology, Genetics & Epigenetics, Plant Molecular Biology, Molecular Microbiology & Immunology, and Computational Biology . The department offers a rigorous and innovative academic program through two curriculum streams, i.e., Molecular & Cellular Biology and Computational Biology. Responsibilities The successful candidates will be expected to: Establish and lead an independent, internationally competitive research program Teach and develop undergraduate and graduate-level courses in Molecular & Cell Biology, Biochemistry, and related areas Supervise and mentor students at both undergraduate and graduate levels, and Contribute to departmental and university service and outreach activities Qualifications: PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or a related field Post-doctoral research experience in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or a related field Strong record of peer-reviewed publications with at least one first-author publication in a reputable journal Teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level is desirable Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English What We Offer An opportunity to pursue a career in basic and translational life sciences research A world-class research environment with outstanding students Competitive compensation and benefits Structured career development and training opportunities .
