Senior Director of Operations

Responsibilities

• Enterprise Leadership & Strategy Define and execute long-term operational strategies aligned to business priorities and LRP
• Translate enterprise strategy into actionable plans, KPIs, and performance outcomes
• Partner with national and regional stakeholders to optimize end-to-end supply chain performance
• Operational Excellence & Performance Lead all distribution centre operations, ensuring delivery of financial, service, safety, and quality targets
• Own and manage operating and capital budgets, including cost optimization and capital planning
• Leverage data and analytics to drive fact-based decision-making and profitability
• Continuous Improvement & Transformation Champion a culture of continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma principles
• Drive standardization, process optimization, and scalable solutions across the operation
• Lead large-scale initiatives across safety, quality, cost, sustainability, and service
• Compliance & Risk Management Ensure full compliance with Health Canada regulations, cGMP standards, and internal policies
• Lead programs that ensure operational integrity, audit readiness, and risk mitigation
• People & Culture Leadership Build and lead high-performing, inclusive teams focused on engagement, development, and accountability
• Provide leadership across a large, complex workforce, including unionized employees
• Partner with labour relations to maintain strong, collaborative union relationships
• Stakeholder & Market Leadership Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to identify risks and opportunities
• Influence enterprise decisions through strategic insight and operational expertise

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field
• 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in distribution, logistics, or operations
• 7+ years leading large, complex, multi-layered teams
• Experience leading unionized operations and working within collective agreements
• Strong knowledge of distribution, warehousing, and supply chain operations
• Understanding of cGMP and regulatory requirements (Health Canada)
• Proven experience managing large-scale budgets (opex and capital)
• Demonstrated success leading enterprise-level transformation and continuous improvement initiatives
